The M-109 heavy self-propelled howitzer is the most reliable and widely used vehicle in its category, used by the US armed forces and most Western countries. To keep this gun in service into the 21st century, the US Army developed this version. It features a more powerful engine and a new turret equipped with sophisticated turret control and firing systems, including the 155mm howitzer with improved target acquisition electronics. The Paladin can also use laser and satellite guided munitions.
